Left 4 Dead 2

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Okay, so it’s official. There’s going to be an L4D 2. Is anyone else as excited about this as I am? I have given it some serious thought, and I’ve decided that since there’s just so much on my plate with all the on-campus stuff that’s happening lately here at the Necro Compound, that I’m going to transition the NecroResistance website over to an L4D fan site. I took a vote with the members of the compound, and they all agree that for this site to serve a real purpose, this is the best route.

So beginning July 1st, 2009, this website is going to become the official site of the NecroResistance L4D Clan. Hey, we’re not just about preparing for the oncoming zombie war, we are about having fun too. So what better way to celebrate the coming Left 4 Dead 2 than by beginning an official L4D Necro Clan? We are going to start a forum to go along with this, as well as have open invitations for those that want to join.

I’ll continue to post topics related to life here on the Compound as well as true-life zombie information, that will never change. But in order to keep this site more lively, this seems like the best option. If you have an opinion on this matter, please feel free to post here.

Once again, another update.

Ah… it’s been two weeks since my last post. Things are so hectic here right now. I try to keep up with all the official stuff on the Compound and then update the site, but sometimes I just don’t have enough hands to do it all. So I’ll try to get a few things in here while I’m waiting on my guys to get back from lunch.

First off, I saw on L4D.com that the new Left 4 Dead is coming out in a few months. I think it’s rather odd that it’s taking place in New Orleans after I made that post a couple months ago about the zombie sightings in New Orleans, but it could be coincidence. I hope they simply used my idea and are not working with the government now. I don’t put anything past anyone.

So while we are upgrading our systems to accommodate the new Left 4 Dead game I have been trying to get access to PAX 2009 so I can preview it myself. I haven’t gotten any word back yet from my contacts, but I’m sure I’ll be seeing you guys there this September. I plan on handing out a few business cards and bumper stickers to help spread awareness. We’ll see how that goes.

And then there is the issue of travel. I usually drive everywhere I go. Most people in and around Northern Idaho know who I am, so I try to go south for most of my needs. As my reputation grows (damn you, OCModshop. j/k) I am more readily recognized in the streets. I flashed my identification while buying ammunition for one of our practice guns, and the guy new who I was immediately. He also gave me a discount, which is nice, but the more people that know me by sight and name, the greater chances of my being targeted by government-issued suppression groups. Or worse, a prelude zombie swarm. I don’t mind a friendly hello now and again, but when people yell out “the zombie guy!” I get a little nervous. We are supposed to be underground, behind the shadows. This makes it a little hard to stay hidden until we are needed.

But I’ll stop complaining for a while. Just wanted you guys to know that things are still pretty crazy around here, and any spare time is usually reserved for sleep instead of getting online. So I’ll try to get back to regular updates soon. And I’ll see you all at PAX!
